Kiambu county women representative Annah Nyokabi has hailed Kiambu County Governor William Kabogo for the reduction of levies in the county terming him as a leader of action.

The levies had raised controversy in the county with leaders from different constituencies teaming up against county government in what they termed as embezzlement of public funds.

Nyokabi said that the move by the county government to reduce the tax by 50 percent was an indication that Kabogo was not arrogant as some leaders want to portray him.

The women rep vowed to support Kabogo against malicious leaders in the county cautioning the residents to be careful with leaders who will still politicise the reduction and urged them to support the governor until 2017.

She said that if Kabogo is not fit to run for the gubernatorial seat come next general election, then residents have the power to evict him from the office but until then, they should support him.

She cited the recent development of Kiambu which is among the only county which has Huduma Program where residents can access government services at their comfort.

 She added that the county government intends to introduce entrepreneurial curriculum in Kiambu schools to enable young entrepreneurs to be natured as early as possible.

Nyokabi said that Kiambu County is rated the best county in gender and inclusivity and the patching of all potholes in major towns is ongoing.

She has however vowed to support the governor in his development until 2017 when the voice of the people will decide if he is worth to be in the office.
