A Kiambu youth group is among those in attendance for the historic Pope's meeting with the youth in Kasarani, Nairobi.

Speaking shortly before going to the venue on Friday morning, the chairman of Kiambu Vision Youth Group Erastus Mwaniki said that they were honoured when they got the invitation to be among the youth to be in the Pope's meeting with the youth.

The chairman said that they got the invitation thanks to their efforts in the community to foster development. He said that as a group they have really spearheaded development and fight against some vices such as corruption and tribalism.

Mwaniki said that their efforts in the community were recognised and they received an invitation to be part of the youths who will be in the meeting with the Pope.He said that this meeting is very important to them and said that they aim to learn and carry it into practice in Kiambu.

"We are very privileged to be part of this historic meeting and we are going to share the knowledge with other youths in Kiambu as the youth are the foundation of the country," said Mwaniki.

He said that they have three representatives of the group that have attended the meeting today.

Mwaniki said that they will also hold meetings with other youth groups starting tomorrow and share the knowledge and the message of the Pope in a bid to build the nation with youths that are ready to build the nation in a good way.
