Kiambu Youths and Sports Affairs CeC has said the entire sports office has now moved to Kiambu town.
Machel Waikenda who was speaking in Kiambu town on Thursday said that the offices have been relocated from Thika town to Kiambu and he is welcoming visitors for queries, proposals or meetings.
“The entire office for Youths and Sports affairs has been moved to Kiambu town headquarter and thus I appeal to youths to come to my new office to ensure development is not hindered by the transfer,” said Waikenda.
This comes after the Governor William Kabogo promised to relocate his office and his entire team to the Kiambu main headquarter as a section of leaders were faulting him for not honoring the ultimatum.
Waikenda said that the move will also help in delivering to the people of Kiambu and thus urges youths to avail themselves in his office to plan for the development of the county.
The CeC has lauded Kabogo for honoring the ultimatum and said the entire county government will soon move to Kiambu town to continue with the work they began two years ago.
He said that the relocation will not change the way he was doing his work and thus urged the residents to be patient since the entire team will soon relocate to the area.
Waikenda revealed that plans are underway to empower youths in terms of entrepreneurial leadership in the county and he pledged to work hand in hand with the county government to ensure it has come to reality.
