Kiambu County Women Rep, Ann Nyokabi, has called on Kiandutu residents  to maintain cleanliness in their house holds and environment even after the National Youth Service (NYS) troops have left.

Nyokabi said that the area is now better comparing it with the way it was before the troops were deployed. 

She noted that she is among the beneficiaries of the program as she has plans to start a counselling and guidance institution for the women and children in the area.

"I am planning to build my guidance and couselling office in this place," said Nyokabi.

She further urged residents who currently not employed to enroll in county's on going free training.

“This will help to equip them with skills necessary for the job creation programs,” said Nyokabi warning the youths aganist  indulging in criminal related activities.

He added that together with the are administration officers her office will try to curb insecurity cases in the area.

“Your security will be guaranteed soon as am building police houses here and we will  ask for more officers to be deployed to ensure you are safe and secure,” noted Nyokabi.

She was speaking when she toured Kiandutu slums for the first time since she was voted in office.
