East African Assembly member Joseph Ombasa Kiangoi has raised concern with the leadership of Nyamira County which is expected to focus on development and unity for the prosperity of the region.
Speaking in Kisii town, Kianogi said that there has been lack of coordination among the county executive, members of the national assembly and members of the county assembly which is denying the taxpayers their right of the pledges made during the last general elections campaigns.
He said, " The governor, the Senator and the women representative should steer the county well and bring all leaders on board so that there will be no duplication of development projects and sidelining other areas in terms of employment opportunities.”
He added that besides concentrating on their clans, they should bear in mind that there are towns which are cosmopolitan like Keroka, Ikonge, kebirigo and Nyamira and they should all benefit from the fruits of devolution in terms of service delivery
He said that any differences which might have occurred among elected leaders .should be resolved amicably through the laid down procedures and remain united because they were serving the public in their respective offices.
“Terrorists do not drop from heaven but come through certain routes and if they are identified earlier, it will be easier to solve the situations because they do live among our own people," added Kiangoi.
Kianoi commended the government for the efforts they have made to tackle the insecurity problem in the country and asked the Jubilee regime to go an extra mile to ensure that the people are secure and earn more scores against terrorism
