East African Legislative Assembly member Joseph Kiangoi has affirmed that his decision to ditch the ODM for the ruling Jubilee Party was not by mistake.

Speaking on Monday when Deputy President William Ruto hosted Jubilee leaders drawn from Nyamira County at his Karen residence, Kiangoi accused the opposition of subjecting government projects to politics, observing that the outfit had become a saboteur of development.

"The opposition is only good at politicizing development without giving alternative solutionto our problems,” the Star quoted him.

The former North Mugirango MP further lauded the President Uhuru Kenyatta administration for implementing key infrastructural projects across the country.

“We have seen incredible performance by Jubilee not only in Nyamira but the country at large and especially in the field of education, energy, infrastructure and health," he noted.

He is eyeing the Nyamira County Senatorial seat on a Jubilee Party ticket in the forthcoming general election.

Among those who attended the meeting were former Kitutu Masaba MP Walter Nyambati, former Nominated MP Catherine Nyamato, MCAs and church leaders.
