Matiba’s longtime buddy Joseph Gilbert Kibe all of a sudden turned into a Julius Malema and called out at all those who ‘betrayed’ Matiba.

Kibe said the ‘enemies’ ganged up with the Kanu regime and led to the detention of the multi-party hero’s detention.

Kibe said in August, a month after his detention, two anti-Matiba motions were moved by Kalonzo Musyoka in Parliament.

The man then dipped his hands into his pockets and shipped out a paper with names of those who were hammering Matiba during the motion.

He named them: Mwai Kibaki, Kalonzo Musyoka, George Muhoho, Francis ole Kaparo, the late Prof. George Saitoti, Nicholas Biwott, Joseph Kamotho, John Keen, Dr Godana, David Mwenje, Zachary Onyonka, Philip Leakey and Bob Francis Jalangó.

“They were so horrified, they thought Matiba would change the management of this country,” Kibe said.

Retired president Mwai Kibaki and Kalonzo Musyoka who were present were left embarrassed as the mourners burst into laughter.
