Former president, Mwai Kibaki is well and has not died as some of the posts indicates on social media.This has been confirmed by Kibaki's spokesperson, Ngari Gituku
Gituku on Tuesday asked Kenyans to ignore rumours going around that Mwai Kibaki had passed away.
“He is doing very well and we hope he will be released from the hospital before the end of the week. He is in a very upbeat mood,” a source close to the family said.
Kibaki's illness has caused mixed reactions online, where a majority of Kenyans wished him quick recovery while a section of bloggers scares people that he is death.
"We wish the President speedy recovery and encourage his family to stay strong at this trying moment. Get well soon Mr President, our country still needs you," Cord leader, Raila Odinga said through Twitter.
