Former President Mwai Kibaki on Sunday appeared in the public for the first time since being discharged from a South African hospital.
Kibaki attended a mass at the Consolata Shrine in Westlands from 12pm.
The mass was President Kibaki's first after leaving the Netcare Sunninghill Hospital where he underwent a successful surgery last month.
Father Daniel who was presiding over the mass urged the congregation to keep praying for the retired President.
In late August, Kibaki underwent a surgery to remove a blood clot in his neck.
He was admitted to the hospital for a week before he was discharged, a moment that was kept out of the public spotlight.
