Kibera residents on Sunday complained of too much heat being experienced in the area.
‘‘Water is scarce in the area. I am currently buying water and the heat is too much. My vegetables are shrinking. Some customers say I am selling vegetables that are not fresh,’’ said Anita Wario, a trader in the area.
Beatrice Wafula said the meteorologists need to be blamed because of not giving the proper weather conditions on time. She complained of not sleeping at night due to too much heat.
Dennis Mokua, however, complained of finding it hard to carry out his duties of bicycle repair peacefully.
‘‘I have no big umbrella, the shade from the tree is not enough. I find it hard to repair bicycle reems while there is too much heat because the metals are too hot to be handled,’’ said Mokua.
Hosea Titus, however, said his water business has picked up because many people are now in need of water.
‘‘People are buying a lot of water. This has boosted my business,’’ he said.
