The residents who were on Sunday mobilised to come out in large numbers by the area chairman, Ouma Tall did in fact come out in large numbers though the chairman believes not all registered as voters.

According to Tall, the residents have a responsibility to register as voters which gives them the opportunity to vote in their leaders of choice.

The chairman urged the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to continue with the registration so that no Kenyan is left behind in participating in the 2017 general election.

“Though they have closed the registration, I am quite sure not all registered as voters and I would like to call upon IEBC to extend the registration process to allow everyone get an opportunity to elect leaders they want,” he said.

He called upon the government to fund the commission so that they can have some few more weeks of voter registration.
