Speaking on Monday evening at Kianda village, Bonface Oyaro, a landlord in the area advised tenants to store water and use it carefully since the Nairobi water company will be doing water maintenance in the area.

“It is the responsibility of every tenant to use the available water keenly to survive in the days there will be no water. We expect the problem of water shortage shortage in Kibera slums to end as the maintenance will improve the supply of water this time round," he advised.

He added that many vendors from neighbouring areas that will not be suffering water rationing will take advantage of selling water expensively. Therefore, residents should use water without wisely.
