Most successes in life do not come easy.
A lot of sacrifice and hard work must be put in before one begins to attract the attention of the world.
This has been the case with Kibera's upcoming music star Seth Nandwa alias TGBoy.
During an interview with local media outlet Kibera News Network, TGBoy said his poor background was the push he received to work hard in the music industry considering that none of his family members was in music before.
"Before I started the art of music, I was a dancer and an actor too," he says.
"I used to meet my (current) manager Kassim at events and we would talk over our fates. But them one day we decided to come together and work to make our dreams come true. We vowed to make something that has never happened here in the ghetto," he adds.
TGBoy is the energy behind a number of powerful tracks including Kamamoto.
He says the track was informed by a sad experience he went through after his lover ditched him
"I was in a relationship with a girl I thought loved me and hoped to go far. But she left me. Then another girl later approached me for love. I said no. That's why I composed the song telling the girl to sit down and listen," he adds.
