The Kibra community yesterday gathered at Kamkunji Grounds next to Olympic Primary School to witness the grand finale of the Kibera Talents Search adventure.
The event brought together talented youths from different villages and estates within Kibra.
They displayed creative and raw talent that needs to be catapultated to the national levels and beyond.
Aruna the Son was crowned the overall winner.
He charmed the crowd with his hip-hop performance blended with traditional tune and attire. The judges included Gilad of the hit song Sema, Gabbu of the famous P-Unit and Byron Khainga among others
Among the artists that performed were Shaddy Mghipuka, Brian Mbowo, Gilad, Kibra hype man Gooda Man, Futwax, Jabidi of Odi dance and Octopizzo.
The event was sponsored by Kibera Town Centre, a local Non-Governmental Organisation focusing on social entrepreneurship.
