Kibera youths are now crying out to governor Mike Sonko to intervene and help renovate the Woodley football stadium.

Taking their plea to social media, the youths decried the sorry state of the stadium that floods during the rains and does not have a ground surface to host a game.

A resident youth Kazar Robadinho asked the governor to initiate a programme to help the area that depends on sports and talents for social mobility.

"For those on twitter please re-tweet my post to the Governor Mike Sonko to ensure we push him to refurbish Woodley Grounds... Together we can make it happen.... Mike Sonko the children of Kibra are crying with no fields to play," said Kazar Robadinho.

"Woodley ground is in bad state during the rainy season. Please help this community where talent might be our only hope for the future," he added.
