Addressing them in Nyamira, the soft spoken PS told the local administrators that the directive from the president on the eradication of the illicit liquor stayed and that it was upon them to intensify the operation or lose their jobs.

"I want to come at the end of June and I expect to hear zero cases of illicit brews because if not so, it will mean that you have no businesses in the government", said Kibichu.

"I expect to see more energy , commitment, results as we fight the bad morals in our society," he warned.

He also urged them to ensure that they spend most of their time in the field to interact with the residents in order to update them on what the government is doing.

"Kenyans should start feeling the government, and it will be achieved when you interact with them and let them know what the government has done," added Kibichu.

Kibichu said that the government was ready to support them in any way that was meant to benefit the people, further urging the administration to utilise well the funds provided by the government.

The PS led a team of security officers who destroyed over 5,000 litres of illicit brew.
