Controversial Uasin Gishu politician Mzee Jackson Kibor on Sunday visited Kesses Member of Parliament Dr. Swarrup Mishra popularly known as Kiprop Arap Chelule.
The two held the meeting at the MP’s offices on the outskirts of Eldoret town.
It is not yet clear what the meeting was all about and Mishra only posted on his official Facebook page saying, “With my longtime friend and political mentor Mzee Jackson Kibor at my office earlier today when he paid me a visit at my office.”
Kibor is a prominent farmer in Uasin Gishu with interests in politics and his visit to Mishra was immediately linked to the 2022 gubernatorial contest by one of the Facebook users.
“The journey to make you the next governor has just started,” posted Katebes Sadam Kibet.
Mishra who on August 8 last year beat all the odds to become the first non-Kalenjin elected MP in Uasin Gishu has not declared interests to succeed governor Jackson Mandago in 2022 but it has been rumored that he is among those eyeing the influential post.
