Controversial businessman Jackson Kibor has removed the deadly spikes he had mounted on his automobile after police agreed to pursue persons attempting to trespass on his property.

According to a local daily, the 83-year-old farmer wanted to use the spikes to keep away the intruders who have been ploughing his land.

Kibor, who hit headlines after moving to court seeking to divorce his wife of 51 years and last year's gun drama with one of his sons, said that he decided to mount the spikes following the confiscation of his firearm.

Confirming the wealthy farmer’s move, Eldoret OCPD Samuel Mutunga said that the spikes were considered a risk to the local residents. Kibor had earlier on said that he won’t find peace unless the culprits are arrested and prosecuted.

"The spikes were a risk to locals, the law does not allow someone to do so. After talking to him, he agreed to remove them," Mutunga said, as quoted by SDE.

The farmer, however, acknowledges the move by the police to take his gun saying that he will no longer be involved in drama with the trespassers.

On his part, Uasin Gishu County Commissioner Hassan Abdi has assured Kibor that the government will ensure that he finds peace
