Kibra MP Ken Okoth wants Kenyatta National Hospital CEO Lily Koros to quit her job because she has failed to effectively execute her duties.
Koros has been under pressure to resign following revelations of rape claims at the facility two weeks ago.
"The CEO of Kenyatta National Hospital has failed. Under her leadership since 2012/2013, everything at KNH has gone from bad to worse," Okoth said in relations to Koros' tribulations.
"From the cancer treatment to casualty, from the parking to the laundry. The CEO of KNH and the Board of KNH must go home; we need a new leadership team in place."
As MP for Kibra, Okotih said KNH hospital is in his constituency and "we have had too many cases of Kibra people treated as second class citizens, denied treatment, or simply dehumanized."
The rape claims were revealed by one of the patients at the facility who claimed some mortuary attendants rape women who go to breastfeed the newborn babies late night.
Koros, however, denied the claims saying no one since the inception of the hospital has come out to report the allegations to her officer.
