With the current political impasse in the country, Kibra MP Ken Okoth is not a happy man following the recent comments from leaders in the West.
This is after the US imposed a travel ban on leaders from Kenya on account that they must work towards ensuring the country is peaceful.
Taking to his social media page, Okoth said it was evident that the West had vested interests in the status quo of the country, noting that leaders from other African countries with worse peace issues still had their travel visas, a sign that they wanted autocracy in Africa.
"The West has been complicit in the slide toward autocracy in Africa and has no moral authority to lecture the few courageous Kenyans standing up to challenge electoral injustice. Why are proceeds of corruption happily invested in American and British Banks and stock markets and real estate?" he asked.
"Kagame and Museveni and Kiir and Machar have valid visas; Kenya visa ban threat is too little too late. We know the interests and preferences of the USA and the EU when it comes to our elections," he added.
