Being the first priority of their area Member of Parliament to educate all Kibera children, the children have come up strongly to support the dream of the MP by supporting his education idea.
This was witnessed in the solo and choral verses performed by pupils and students at the Kibera Education Day celebrations on Friday.
Jamuhuri Primary performed a choral verse titled 'Who am I?' which put across the point of what they can be in future without education.
"Education is the key to success, who aim I without education? Will I be a professor or an oppressor of people as I keep borrowing from them," recited Jamuhuri Primary School pupils.
Mashimoni Squatters Primary too took to the stage to perform a coral verse titled 'Hope' which called on people to work in unity.
"All religions awake, let us support one another both in education and life issues," they recited.
The area Member of Parliament Ken Okoth has started a campaign dubbed 'Education First', which is a push to all pupils to attend school, not letting any hindrances to overpower them.
"We want everyone in Kibera to be educated," said Okoth.
