A young girl from Kibra slum is heading to Sweden to try her luck with a women top soccer team.
Liley Awuor is set to join Hammarby IF that plays in the Swedish Women's Top Tier Damallsvenskan.
On Thursday she will be heading to Johanneshov District in Stockholm Sweden for trials.
She was a student at Olympic High School where she also played soccer for the women team.
She started her soccer career as the captain for her school team in 2013 where they won Nairobi County school games before she represented Kenya in Nigeria but where they lost to Tanzania in the finals.
"She serves as an inspiration to many young ladies out there who are equally talented and hardworking," said Mustapha Obatal, a local Kibra soccer commentator.
