Ndhiwa Member of parliament Agostino Neto has pledged to offer full sponsorship to students from Kibra Constituency who shall be eligible to join Alliance schools next year.

Neto gave the assurance on Friday at the Annual Kibra Constituency Education Prize-giving Day, held at the Jamhuri Primary School.

"I will pay fees for every student who manages to join Alliance Girls or Alliance Boys from Kibra Constituency. I am a product of Alliance and I want to give appreciation to the community by ensuring that our students get to learn there once they attain the required marks," said Neto.

The MP challenged the KCPE candidates from Kibra Constituency to remain focussed as they prepare to face their final primary school examination.

He encouraged them to overlook the challenges they face in the slums reiterating that great personalities have emerged from the area.

"Education is the equalizer of the society; students should not look down upon themselves because they are from Kibera. Your MP (Ken Okoth) learned at Olympic Primary School and now he is a Member of Parliament," he added.

Neto together with Awendo MP Jared Kopiyo accompanied their colleague Ken Okoth as they gave out prizes to schools and students that performed well in 2014 KCSE and KCPE examinations, and the last year's annual standard seven Kibra constituency mock examination.
