The heated political debate surrounding the Molo-Kibunja road might come to an end after construction work started at the road.
Molo residents have been lamenting over the road and have even staged several demonstrations to demand the construction of the road.
“The construction is pegged to that done on the Molo-Orenguruone road as launched by the President,” Engineer John Maritim said.
President Kenyatta commissioned the construction of the Molo-Orenguruone road during a presidential trip to Nakuru County.
“We are happy the President ordered the construction of the road. It has been very dusty and ferrying passengers here difficult,” John Kamau said.
Area MP Jacob Macharia welcomed the construction. Macharia said when through, the road will ease the movement of goods between Molo and the Nakuru-Eldoret highway.
