Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has pointed an accusing finger towards a section of Members of the county Assembly (MCAs) for attempting to sabotage his projects in order to tarnish his name before Wiper Party Patron Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka.
Speaking to residents in Kaiti sub-county during the commissioning of different projects in the area, Kibwana affirmed that he will not sit back and watch the leaders drag his name into dirty deals.
“Some of the MCAs mudslinging me are trying to appease [Wiper leader] Kalonzo Musyoka with the hope of clinching Wiper tickets by appearing to be party stalwarts,” Kibwana said, as quoted by the Star.
The governor also said that he will reach out to cord co-principal over the matter to avoid creating a bad relationship within the party as it seeks to floor other parties including Maendeleo Chap Chap.
“I will speak to Kalonzo not to fall for such man-oeuvres by anti-development characters.”
Kibwana also reminded residents to examine the performance records of different leaders before voting them into various elective positions.
He further said that working as a governor is not easy as many of them think.
“Being a governor is the most difficult job I have ever faced. It is even tougher than the clamor for constitutional reforms against former President Daniel Moi and his regime’s status quo,” he said.
