Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has initiated talks with Maendeleo Chap Chap Leader Dr Alfred Mutua and other leaders of fringe parties to back Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka to rise to power in August, Standard reports. The legislator has said that he will also hold talks with Former Lands Minister Charity Kaluki Ngilu’s Narc party, Chama Cha Uzalendo leader Wavinya Ndeti and People's Trust Party leader Mutua Katuku top leadership to ensure that they fully accord Kalonzo the support needed for him to ascend to the nation’s top seat when that time comes. According to Kibwana, time has come for Ukambani leaders to speak in one voice to make their presidential dream come true. "None of these leaders have expressed their interest in the presidency so it is only fair and reasonable that they support Kalonzo," he said. His remarks after Wavinya Ndeti crossed to Wiper Party as she seeks to oust Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua in the forthcoming general polls. On his part, Kalonzo has insisted that he is the right man to transform this nation if elected. The former vice President has been very categorical that he will trounce President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto if named NASA flag bearer.
