Makueni County is expected to have both governor and senator defend their posts. The provisiobnal results show Governor Kivutha Kibwana and Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior leading.
By yesterday late evening, Kibwana was frog matching David Masika, Bernard Kiilu and Gideon Ndambuki. His closest rival was chasing the incumbent with a 140,000+ votes.
The senatorial race had the same picture but the gap between the leader and the chasing pack was huge. Mutula Kilonzo topped Daniel Nzeki and Albanas Muthoka and he is headed to a resounding win when the official results are announced.
Woman representative race is also another easy ride for Rose Museo. She was way far from Grace Mwema and Margaret Mumbua.
The above results are encouraging to Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka. On the eve of elections, he begged Ukambani not to let him be a deputy president without a backing. Makueni has responded.
