Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has insisted that he has no plans to dissolve Muungano party to join Wiper as the next general election draws closer.
Addressing residents of Emali, Kibwana said his party is ready to back Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka in his quest to unseat President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto or any other candidate Cord will pick as the flagbearer.
The governor, however, asked Kalonzo and other leaders including Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama not to poke their noses in the business of the party.
He said the party will field candidates in different positions including MCA, MP and senator during the upcoming general polls.
The Governor remarks come amidst incessant calls by Muthama and other leaders to fold up what he terms as briefcase parties before the August elections.
According to Muthama, the small parties in the region are only confusing the voters of this part of the nation.
The Senator has differed with his party boss over the same on several accounts but affirmed that he will not relent. The governor further called on residents of the area to vote leaders without any agenda for as the voter registration exercise enters its second week.
