Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has rewarded former KNEC chief executive officer Paul Wasanga. The governor has appointed Wasanga as the new county secretary. 

The appreciation comes after the former KNEC officials helped Kibwana win with a landslide. He was tasked with resource mobilization and chaired Kibwana’s campaign secretariat.

The former Muungano party member replaced half of his former executive committee members as he presented 10 names to his County Assembly for vetting.

One beneficiary of the new excutive team is Lawrence Nzunga alias Chege, Muungano party secretary general, who has been fronted as Kibwana’s Agriculture executive.

One of the interesting entrants into Kibwana’s new look executive is Muungano party secretary general Lawrence Nzunga, popularly known as Chege.

Those axed include Alidan Mbinda (Trade), Jacobus Kiilu (Agriculture), Judith Kalinga (Lands), Ruth Kyatha (Education and ICT) and Kibwana’s close ally and Kaiti MP loser who worked as Roads executive Wambua Kawive.

Others have been moved to different dockets. Former Devolution executive Robert Kisyula has replaced Douglas Mbilu in the Water and Environment department while former County secretary Joshua Wambua will handle Lands section.
