Kicking street children from Eldoret town on pointReligious leaders in Uasin Gishu have applauded governor Jackson Mandago for kicking out street children from Eldoret town and taking them to rescue center. They said this is in order since the town was a mess. "I want to thank governor Mandago for this move since the town was insecure since one could be pickpocket during the daytime. Kudos for a job well done, " said the Uasin Gishu chairman of gospel ministers Bishop Wilson Kurui."It was even hard for one to cross river Sosiani after 6 pm because they had made it their hiding places but as per now everything is fine," added Uasin Gishu CIPK chairman Abubakar Bini. They, however, urged the county government to rehabilitate the street children and give them alternative work for them to earn a living. "This is the only way of discouraging them from going back to the streets," said Bishop Wilson Kurui. "I urge residents to stop giving the street urchins handouts since it encourages more children to come to the streets because there is free money," noted Abubakar Bini. *Is there a newsworthy accident, incident or event happening in Uasin Gishu County that you want Hivisasa to cover?
