Nairobi county governor Evans Kidero has slammed the judiciary for slowing down the war on corruption.
Speaking during an interview with KTN News Tuesday, the county boss said the legal process was greatly hampering the war on graft which he regretted continues to milk the country dry.
"The bureaucratic process in this country is not doing us any good. You may have an overwhelming evidence linking an official to graft but you have to suspend them on half salary. And when the cases commence they take ages to be concluded sonetimes resulting in loss of witnesses and evidence," he said.
He added that if reelected he plans to automate revenue collection in the capital in a bid to reduce contact between county officials and cash.
Kidero has largely been accused by his rivals of abetting graft at the City Hall since he took over in 2013.
He will be battling it out with senator Mike Sonko of Jubilee, and two independent candidates Miguna Miguna and Peter Kenneth.
