Kidero noted that Kenya as a country is past the stage where police become lead perpetrators against humanity.

Issuing his personal appeal to the central government, Kidero called on Boinnet and Nkaissery to take responsibility and prosecute the rogue officers as a show of concern and apology to the public.

‘'Police brutality meted on Kenyan civilians in Nairobi streets is criminal. Action should be taken against the brutal law enforcers, and if this does not get implementation then we shall lead a massive citizens arrest,'’ Kidero posted on his Facebook page.

The county boss went on further to explain that picketing has a constitutional backing and that any citizen has the right to peacefully demonstrate at any time.

Kidero further blasted the police for failing to curb looting incidences on Monday yet it was one of the reasons why they were summoned to the streets ahead of the protests.

KNHCR has joined Kenyans in condemning the brutal deeds, noting that their investigations into the matter are underway.
