The Nairobi governor, Evans Kidero has adopted a new tact in bursary disbursements.

The initiative shall see fair and just allocation of funds to the most deserving students. In the new order, the fund disbursements shall be restricted to only bright and needy students as opposed to the earlier plan that saw each applicant getting a flat share of five thousand shillings.

The governor further explained that it will be fair for his government to reach few deserving children than a big number of undeserving students.

In the new plan that was officially made on Tuesday, beneficiaries shall receive sufficient amounts of money from the county kitty to cater for all their tuition needs.

In his statement to newsrooms, Kidero publicly explained that some 471 bright and needy children from eighty-five wards in his county have been earmarked and slotted as beneficiaries in the ongoing first disbursement.

According to the statement, students that are needy, academically gifted and poor children from the low-class families will have full scholarships from form one to form four.
