Govenor Evans Kidero has expressed disappointment following the rise of food prices in the country.
The ODM governor noted that the minimum wage of a common Kenyan is not enough to buy food and still cater for other needs.
“Ksh10, 000 as minimum salary for a Kenyan worker is not enough. The price of flour is Ksh150, and the families we come from, we eat a packet per day, lunch time and supper.''
“Therefore in a month we use Ksh4,500 on flour alone, before paying rent and buying vegetables,'' he said.
Speaking in Nairobi at Uhuru park grounds, Monday, during the Labour day celebrations, Kidero urged president Uhuru Kenyatta to address the food crisis.
