Nairobi governor Dr Evans Kidero has been criticized for not solving most of the notorious city problems.
His childhood friend and renowned COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has also joined those accusing Kidero for not addressing city sanitation, traffic jams and insecurity among other ills.
Atwoli said that despite Kidero growing up in the capital city with poor roads and campaigning on the same issue, nothing has changed."We have grown up with the Governor and when Kidero was seeking for votes he saw the situation of the roads but till now as he seeks election the roads are still pathetic," Atwoli said as quoted by Nation. The City boss will face it off with one political heavyweight from Jubilee. The ruling party is yet to settle on who will face Kidero. The battle is between Peter Kenneth who is seen as a project by some quotas, Bishop Margaret Wanjiru and the flamboyant senator Mike Sonko. The Senator has threatened to ditch Jubilee over what he terms as intrusion by non-Nairobians.Kidero has one foot into a second rein as Nairobi’s governor after ODM rewarded him a direct ticket. He is waiting to see who Jubilee will field and how Miguna Miguna will campaign against him.
