Nairobi governor, Evans Kidero has thanked the president for forming the tribunal to probe Justice Philip Tunoi over allegations of bribery.

Tunoi is alleged to have received a sh200 million bribe from Kidero to help deliver judgment in favour of the Kidero after the now Kabete MP, Ferdinand Waititu moved to court to challenge Kidero after he won the Nairobi governor's seat.

The president on Tuesday accepted to form a tribunal as it had been proposed by the six-member committee to probe the judge based on the allegations.

Kidero said the formation of the tribunal will help the judge clear his name, therefore, clearing Kidero’s name too. He spoke about this at the Buruburu Girls High school on Wednesday saying the issue is unconstitutional. He, however, maintained his stand of never having met Tunoi.
