Okoth called on leaders and Nairobi County residents to weigh the achievements and shortcomings of Kidero before criticising his leadership.

According to him, blaming Kidero was unfair, since there are achievements that he has done.

"It is unfair to criticise Kidero for all the shortcomings in Nairobi at the moment. He has been able to achieve some great things while at the helm of Nairobi leadership. Transport has been upgraded, health and education have also been upgraded and he is currently working on coming up with other mechanisms aimed at uplifting the lives of Nairobi residents. Kidero's leadership should be judged fairly and his accomplishments lauded," said Okoth.

However, Kamukunji MP Yusuf Hassan dismissed the calls by Okoth, saying Kidero had not lived to the expectations of the people of Nairobi.

He was categorical in reiterating that issues of importance to the people of Nairobi were still a problem to four years in his leadership.

The two lawmakers were speaking during an interview on a local television.
