Speaking to Radio Maisha on Wednesday, Kidero appealed to Nairobi residents to grant him another term saying that it would enable him fulfill his 2013 electoral promises.

"I need another term to ensure that all I pledged is achieved. Five years is not enough to realise everything," he said.

He likened his administration to that of former president Mwai Kibaki which he said realised most development projects in the second term.

However, Kidero will have to play sharp as he faces stiff competition from Senator Mike Sonko, Water CS Eugene Wamalwa, nominated MP Johnson Sakaja, former Starehe MP Margaret Wanjiru and Dagoretti South lawmaker Denis Waweru who are all affiliated to Jubilee.
