Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero sarcastically says that he was on the process of fencing all cemeteries in Nairobi to prevent ‘dead’ voters from participating in August elections.

His statement comes amid pressure from opposition on IEBC to deliver free, fair and credible elections in August.

And the ODM governors says the party will not accept any rigged victory adding that he was confidence that his party leader Raila Odinga shall beat president Uhuru Kenyatta.

“I know the number of cemeteries in Nairobi and I have started fencing Lang’ata. We also have Muslim cemetery and those are the areas I am targeting,” said the former Mumias Sugar CEO.

He added: “We shall ensure that the dead don’t vote in these elections. As ODM, we are tired with rigging winners yet we can prevent this.”

While Kidero’s assertions are just mere political rhetoric, the opposition has however warned that they will be forced to swear Mr Odinga as winner.

Kidero, who has been appointed as general coordinator of NASA, Nairobi region, will battle with Senator Mike Mbuvi in August.
