Nairobi City County Assembly turned chaotic on Tuesday afternoon, after a motion looking to impeach Governor Evans Kidero was tabled before the house.
The motion, which was tabled by Viwandani MCA Samuel Nyangwara was met with tremendous resistance from ODM members, who did not want the motion tabled.
The fracas began after Speaker Alex Magelo ordered Eastleigh South MCA Nelson Masiga to leave the house and subsequently barred him from accessing the premises for 30 days as a result of alleged misconduct.
Cord members could here none of that, as some tried to grab the Mace in order to end the session, but sergeant at arm officers strictly guarded the precious symbol and ensured the session went on as usual.
Nyangwara finally read out the notice of motion to impeach Governor Kidero, as Jubilee MCAs formed a human shield to protect him from the ODM members.
They have accused Governor Kidero of mismanaging county funds.
The committee has until Tuesday to present the motion to the assembly and three days thereafter for the motion to be dispensed with by members.
