Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has dismissed fellow gubernatorial aspirant Peter Kenneth’s candidature for the governor's post as inconsequential and offering no threat to his re-election bid.
Speaking at a church function on Saturday, Kidero said he remains the most suitable candidate for the office.
Like his other competitors, Kidero said, Kenneth stands no chance of winning the seat and should instead focus on other things other than wasting his money.
“But we welcome him. Kenneth is well on his way to becoming a Member of County Assembly,” said Kidero as quoted by the Standard.
The incumbent said even if President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto continue supporting the duo of Senator Mike Sonko and Kenneth, this will not change their fate.
“Let them know that they will lose and this time it will be beyond their comprehension,” a confident Kidero said.
