The traffic jam caused as a result of road closures in Nairobi following Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit caught many Nairobian's off guard.
Interestingly, even the city's mighty were not spared.
Governor Dr Evans Kidero was forced to abandon his car at the Central Business District and had to walk for about five kilometres to Yaya Centre.
Kidero, through his official Facebook account posted photos shot as he walked along Argwings Kodhek Road to Yaya Centre.
He was in company of county executives.
"I would like to apologise to all Nairobi residents who were inconvenienced as a result of major road closures and traffic in the city today (Tuesday) due to the Israel Prime Ministers visit," he said.
"I was also caught up and had to walk from the CBD to Yaya Centre. In future we will ensure better mechanisms are put in place to handle VVIP visits in the city."
Netanyahu arrived in the country on Monday from Uganda for a three-day State visit.
The most affected roads were Waiyaki Way, Uhuru Highway and Parliament Road.
Others were Kenyatta Avenue and State House Road.
Most Nairobian's caught up in the jam that lasted for the better part of the day had to walk to work.
"I spent close to three hours between General Service Unit Headquarters and Ngara. Terrible," one of the travelers affected by the traffic jam said on Facebook.
