The just concluded Nairobi gubernatorial elections were a fraud and cannot be accepted.
This is according to Nairobi governor Evans Kidero.
Kidero dismissed the elections after outgoing senator Mike Sonko showed a huge lead in the provisional results.
By 12.50 pm on August 8, Jubilee's Mike Sonko was leading with 811,995 (about 53.4 per cent) votes while Kidero had 653,185 (42.95 per cent).
"We urge Nairobians to remain calm and await the final decision. What has happened is so glaring," Kidero said on Wednesday as quoted by the Star.
The governor said he wants a fresh tally before he accepts any declaration by IEBC.
