In a letter to the County secretary Dr Robert Ayisi, Kidero asked him to terminate Martin Ogindo's employment terms, over alleged gross misconduct.

"Your contract with the Nairobi City County government is hereby terminated with effect from the date on this letter (December 30) on account of violation of the terms of your contract and conflict of interest,'' read the letter in part.

Ogindo who was Rangwe MP between 2008 and 2013, had launched his political party, Green Congress of Kenya, a day before his sacking.

It is rumored that he seeks to unseat Kidero in the 2017 general polls.
