Canadian based lawyer Miguna Miguna has poked holes into the ability of Governor Evans Kidero and Senator Mike Sonko to run the cosmopolitan Nairobi city as governor.

Other than the trio, the race has also attracted former presidential aspirant Peter Kenneth who is running as an independent candidate.

Appearing on governorship debate at KTN on Monday, Miguna accused the two front runners of lacking basic skills to run the county.

“These two fellows lack ideology, philosophy and manifesto to run Nairobi. The only thing they are good at is stealing from the public,” said the former advisor to opposition leader Raila Odinga.

He added: “I have run a legal firm for 23 years from scratch unlike them. They are not managers but thugs who are after plundering resources.”

While Kidero and senator Sonko are running on major parties tickets, Kenneth and Miguna as considered as underdogs given the political dynamics of city politics.

In 2013, Kidero who ran on an ODM ticket beat narrowly current Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu who is set to fly Jubilee governorship flag in Kiambu.
