Addressing faithful at St Stephen Anglican church Nairobi, Kidero exuded confidence that he will retain his seat. The county boss also welcomed Kenneth in governorship race, adding that he will beat him hands down.

“We welcome him to the race because he was well on his way to becoming a Member of County Assembly but let him prepare for a political beating he has never witnessed, he said as quoted by Kenyans.co.ke.

The governor also said that the people of Nairobi know who they will elect in August.

“Just like the others in the race, let me tell him that Nairobi residents know who they want. They want a consistent, predictable, reliable and dependable leader and that person is me," Kidero added.

On his part, senator said that Kenneth is welcome in the race for the governorship but he should prepare for a bruising battle come August.  “That is his democratic and his constitutional right. At the end of the day it is Nairobians who will decide who will be their next governor,” Sonko stated.
