Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has expressed confidence that city residents still want to see him in office after the 2017 general election due to good governance exhibited in the first term.
Kidero urged his competitors to be patient because there is no open vacancy at City Hall.
“I know the elective position to head City Hall is much coveted and it is never for the faint hearted. It is just a calling and if anybody thinks there is a vacancy here, then they are evidently mistaken. I am here to stay in the city,” said Kidero in an interview with a local daily.
Kidero further says his administration is an all-inclusive government that displays the true face of a united nation.
“My government is the real face of Kenya and I also intend to keep it this way. I do not subscribe to tribalism," he added.
However, Kidero admitted that there is alot of work to be done for Nairobians but claimed that the budgetary allocations cannot accommodate everything that the county had put into the account.
