Dagoretti South MP, Dennis Waweru on Sunday demanded adequate compensation for victims of the collapsed Huruma estate building.

Waweru asked the Nairobi County government to use the emergency budget to compensate the victims as soon as possible.

The incident that took place in May, saw more than 200 families displaced and 30 dead.

Waweru said the survivors are entitled to compensation from the county through the county emergency kitty.

Waweru spoke during the visit to one of the survivor's family.He also handed over a motorbike to Saisi Wasike who is a father to a baby girl who was found alive in the collapsed building.
