Evans Kidero, the Nairobi County governor has vowed to never support some embarrassing projects that have no value and go against the morals of the society.
The governor said some projects such as project X will only do more harm than good to the youths and generation at large. He said that he will not support such activities and warned those who encourage them. He revealed that he was not going to allow the people who are giving alcohol to children to go scot free without facing the law. Kidero said those practicing such projects can do them from other places but not within his territory.
‘’We need to bring up our children well. I am pained as a father to see children taking alcohol which they are given by adults. As a father, I cannot just sit and watch. I need to act,’’ he said to Starehe SDA faithful.
This comes after police caught 140 children taking alcohol in a house in Lang’ata.
Kidero said the people behind the idea and the owner of the house will be charged. He called on parents to never allow kids to go out if they have no clear information of where they are going.
