Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has said he is confident of being re-elected and warned those eyeing his position to prepare for a bruising battle in the August polls.Speaking at Industrial Area Prison SDA church on Saturday, Kidero said his rivals have no chance of unseating him because he has performed well. The ODM nominee cited his development track record as the key selling point that will win him votes in the capital city.“I inherited a city without a plan that was full of cartels which sabotaged and frustrated service delivery to the residents but now look how I have changed the city,” said a confident Kidero.Citing various development projects he has initiated during his four-year tenure, he expressed optimism in defeating the Jubilee nominee, Mike Sonko.“Our level of preparedness is not determined by who our competitor is. It is determined by the urban integrated development plan that we have developed,” he said as quoted by Daily Nation. The governor added: “I am not surprised. All along we knew Sonko was going to be our competitor. In NASA we are prepared and sure of emerging victorious in August.”
